The trigger for cardiac arrhythmias is usually a pre-existing heart disease. Medication, too much caffeine or alcohol, or severe stress can also cause problems with arrythmia of the heartbeat.
External causes of cardiac arrhythmias:
Organic causes of cardiac arrhythmias:
Recognizing a cardiac arrhythmia is not so easy. Some disturbances occur only briefly. Especially the first time, the heart may beat irregularly for a shorter period of time, but then return to normal for weeks or months until the arrhythmia occurs another time.
Classic first signs of a cardiac arrhythmia are fatigue and the feeling of powerlessness. Familiar activities involving physical exertion become more difficult than usual. Small “heart stumbles“, small misfires or palpitations are also symptomatic. If the cardiovascular system is out of sync and the brain is no longer properly supplied with oxygen as a result, dizziness or brief fainting spells are also common. Another consequence is chest pain or the feeling of tightness of the heart. The above-mentioned symptoms are particularly frequently perceived at night, while lying in bed, as there are no other distracting stimuli.
More accurately diagnose and appropriately treat perceived cardiac arrhythmia. Identify potentially dangerous progressions early.
